Today we were settled into the retreat center and got to get down to planning. We spent most of the morning decorating the classrooms and planning out the lessons for the following 3 days. We are expecting 15 kids in my group. I planned 3 worship songs, a bible lesson and some craft and activity time to fill the morning...
In the evening we had time to walk into town and visit the grocery store - lots of strange foods and HUGE vegetables... Next to the grocery store was McDonalds; conveniently open at 6:20AM
We enjoyed a cheeseburger and fries (of course they tasted just like back home) but, out of fear I stayed away from the McHotDog... wow... gross...
Tomorrow morning we get the kids for our first full day - everyone is super excited!
